Reporting to the US Director of Sales Operations, the Associate Director, Veeva (Customer Relationship Management) Lead defines and executes the strategic roadmap for US Commercial customer facing applications (CFA), including but not limited to Veeva CRM. The Veeva CRM Lead will ensure that these capabilities are fully operational in line with the needs of the US Commercial business.

Through a deep understanding of customer-facing roles, including that of the Field Sales Representatives and Account Managers, this individual will partner closely with internal stakeholders across the business and Business Technology (BT), as well as external providers to evolve the CFA capabilities in line with US Commercial priority business needs.

This position is considered as “hybrid” – that means that the incumbent would, in alignment with their manager, determine appropriate ways of working that meet their individual needs and that of the business. Time will be spent working on-site at our office in Lansdale, PA, as well as at an alternate location. The actual balance will be dependent on conversations and agreements with the hiring manager.

Success in this role will require strong program management skills and an effective partnership across many functions including Sales and Account Management Leadership, Commercial Operations, BT, Compliance and Communications. Vendor management skills are critical.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • CFA capabilities are functioning as intended

  • Related business processes are executed to ensure capabilities continue to operate efficiently

  • Core platform upgrades are prepared for from a business perspective

  • Resources (e.g., training materials, QRCs) are maintained in line with capability evolution

  • Processes are aligned with compliance requirements

  • Operational issues are triaged and addressed in a manner that meets the needs of the business

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical field sales, account management, or an organization which supports field sales and/or account management

  • Strong program/project management

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders, and lead without authority

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, plan and execute

  • Strategic thinking, business acumen, problem solving, understanding of sales and marketing

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working in Veeva within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience in the development or implementation of capabilities
